At AKQA, I architect and deliver React and Next.js experiences for global commerce platforms, supporting multi-locale journeys across international markets — combining hands-on delivery with technical leadership: writing RFCs, guiding architecture, reviewing code, and mentoring frontend engineers, while keeping performance and quality measurable.

Global commerce platform

Architecting high-traffic React and Next.js commerce experiences across 15+ countries and 10+ regions.

The challenge: A global commerce brand needed a single platform that could serve checkout and browsing experiences consistently across 15+ international markets — each with different languages, currencies, shipping rules, and payment methods, without fragmenting the codebase or the user experience.

What I did: I owned the frontend architecture end-to-end, building on React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and integrated six payment providers (Adyen, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay) across 20+ shipping methods so checkout could adapt to each market without duplicating logic. I also led the multi-locale architecture supporting 10+ regions and 1,000+ translation keys, working directly with design, backend, QA, and product to ship it.

Outcome: Supported 15+ countries and 10+ regions.

Frontend platform & design system

A monorepo with 150+ reusable components and 70+ custom hooks, reducing feature development time by 40%.

The challenge: As the platform grew across markets and teams, UI patterns were being rebuilt inconsistently feature by feature, slowing delivery and creating visual drift across the product.

What I did: I architected a Turborepo monorepo to house a shared component library — 150+ reusable components and 70+ custom hooks — establishing design-system abstractions that teams could build on instead of reinventing. This became the shared foundation for both UI consistency and Core Web Vitals work (App Router, React Server Components, SSR/SSG/ISR, code splitting).

Outcome: Reduced feature development time by 40%.

Network monitoring dashboards

Data-intensive real-time interfaces used by 1,000+ engineers, reducing issue detection time by 30%.

The challenge: I joined Tech Mahindra as a junior engineer on BT's web-based network-monitoring platform, initially resolving bug fixes and support tickets across an existing codebase built by others.

What I did: Over the role, I grew into owning features end-to-end — building the real-time dashboards network engineers relied on for live visibility — and later took on REST API integrations for new dashboard modules, working alongside backend and QA teams as the platform scaled.

Outcome: Reduced issue detection time by 30% for 1,000+ engineers.
